In the last quarter of 2014 (Oct-Dec) as part of the programming framework 2014-2020 the funds of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) that are planned for Croatia will be offered through 4 aid schemes for SMEs.
INVESTMENT AID FOR IMPROVEMENT OF EXISTING TECHNOLOGIES AND DEVELOPMENT OF NEW PRODUCTS, PROCESSES AND/OR SERVICES.
The grants will be provided for the:
130 million EUR has been earmarked on such aid.
SUPPORT TO BUSINESSES IN MEETING THE STANRARDS AND CERTIFYING PRODUCTS IN ORDER TO INCREASE COMPETETIVENESSS AND ACCESS TO INTERNATIONAL MARKETS.
The Programme will encourage investments in the preparation, implementation and certification of the quality management systems. The enterprises will be able to apply for coverage of the costs of acquiring the right to use the labels Hrvatska kvaliteta (Croatian Quality), Izvorno hrvatsko (Authentically Croatian) and Hrvatski otočni proizvod (Croatian Island Product) and other quality labels acknowledged for products.
The funds will be available as support in meeting the standards and certification for access to international markets and increase of the competitiveness of companies.
70 million EUR has been earmarked under the Programme.
SUPPORT IN CREATION OF ADVANCED BUSINESS INFRASTRUCTURE AND BUSINESS SERVICES OFFERED TO BUSINESSES (B2B), AS WELL AS IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF SERVICES.
The grants will primarily be intended, as investments in new or existing incubators, industrial parks/areas and logistics centers, as well as business services that provide the appropriate foundation for the start, growth and development of SMEs. Planned services must be aligned to the specific needs of innovative SMEs, and may include:
40 million EUR has been earmarked through this scheme.
USE OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY (ICT) TO IMPROVE BUSINESS PROCESSES.
Financial support will be intended for investments in the implementation of advanced e-business models, improvement, innovation and digitalization, including expenditures for computer equipment and software programs in order to encourage the development, growth and competitiveness of micro, small and medium enterprises in the lagging areas.
Eligible activities may include, for example:
5 million EUR will be provided for above mentioned activities.
In comparison to the previous tenders, the upcoming tenders will take the form of open calls, which means that the receipt of project applications will last until the depletion of resources, and the proposals will be processed according to the date of the application.
